The summer of 1974, CEO/Founder, Charlie Russell began his journey of creating a remodeling and custom home building company. How to best serve clients was foremost in his mind.

Just A Few Of Our Raving Reviews
Our kitchen project with Westhill is wrapping up and we wanted to take the time to send some feedback regarding our experience. Like all remodels it had its ups and downs but what made the experience positive was the personal interactions we had with both Chris and Mike.
Chris was the ultimate professional at all times- both good and bad. He always made himself available to us to answer questions and help us create solutions. He was able to handle our concerns and frustrations without getting defensive and always drove all parties to an agreeable outcome. He stayed focused on the project and worked hard to get us the kitchen we wanted. One of the most notable examples was the sill lights. It was extremely important to Dave that we not drill into the beautiful new granite but code required outlets every x feet. While everyone else- designer, budget manager, electrician gave up and told us to decide between drilling into the cabinets or granite- Chris stayed on it. He came up with a solution, challenged everyone to make it work and got us exactly what we wanted and met code. He was wonderful to work with and we truly appreciated his professionalism and enjoyed our interactions with him.
Mike was our lead carpenter and did an amazing job both from in regards to quality of work and integrating into our home for the 3 month duration of the project. It is truly remarkable to find someone that you not only trust but welcome into your home on daily basis that is not family. He interacted in thoughtful and kind way with us, our boys and the dog. We never felt like there was a risk to our home or discomfort at having subs and crew in our home with Mike at the helm. His positive can-do attitude made us feel like he would always champion the cause from our perspective every time and even beyond that served as a real life role model to our boys about how to interact with people and solve problems.
He listened closely to what matter to us and made sure that he and all the subs paid close attention critical details- not letting the window installation drill holes into the granite, getting the granite suppliers to create the one piece through the LA cantina window, working with electrical to make sure light switches were set up the way we needed, adjusting the location of the peninsula when we expressed concerns, install the heat vents so they blended with the cabinets. These are just a few of the examples.
He went out of his way to make the construction zone livable and the experience pleasant with little details like rigging a temporary door so we could access the back yard and giving us additional light but rigging a hinge on the boarded up window ( quite key as the schedule for windows and doors slide by 4 weeks. It was not an issue for us due to his solution). He cleaned up every day and in general treat our home with the respect he would his own.

I loved the way Westhill treated us. They knew that we had small children that would be affected during the renovation. Therefore they made sure to get the job done as quickly as possible. Westhill also made sure to keep us up to date with everything that was going on with our project as well as making sure that every subcontractor that come to our house treated us and our house with respect. I don’t know how much you hear this stuff – and perhaps we are a bit unique (wouldn’t be the first time I heard that -ha) but I think about you guys often throughout the years. I guess it was a pretty significant experience for us at an impactful time of our lives and you all made it a very personal one. I will always hold you and your team in the highest regards and feel blessed that our paths crossed so many years ago. It is pretty cool that every day you get the opportunity to change people’s lives and develop lasting bonds. Well you also get the chance to cut people’s water lines and flood their houses – ha-ha. Last week Ben and I took the week off of work to build the deck… well – most of the deck. This also gave us the opportunity to watch your team (Wayne, Mike, Thor, & Brian) in action and get to know them a bit better. Kudos to you for hiring such hard working, entertaining, smart, reliable, and all around good guys. I have been meaning to call you and rave about Dave. As you know he took my late night call and dropped everything to rescue my flooding crawl space. He and Tristan arrived about 11:00 pm strapped on their headlamps and braved the hurricane conditions down on the beach with shovels solving the mystery.
