We are Distinctively Different.
We admit it. Westhill is distinctively different from the experience other contractors may provide for you. The remodeling experience starts from the first time we meet and continues for years, long after the project is completed.
We listen more than we talk.
It’s all about you. It’s your vision, your lifestyle, your home. Our job is to get to know you personally, to really understand what you want and how you live. We then design it and build it, while sharing with you our knowledge, expertise and craftsmanship. The end result of your remodeled home will be exactly as you envisioned or better. That’s distinctively different.
Our business is about people, not materials.
Remodeling or building your dream home is a big decision and can be a big investment. It’s not about the drywall, paint, lumber or buckets of nails. It’s about the chef’s delight kitchen, the family room or addition that will, for the first time allow you to host the entire family this holiday. Or maybe it’s your vision of a master bedroom and bathroom that will serve as your ultimate retreat at the end of a long day. Remodeling is great cause for celebration. We don’t want you to just be satisfied when we pack up our trucks at the end of the job. We want you to be excited! That’s distinctively different.
It’s OK to have limits.
Every project has limits. Whether it is time, money or the tolerance of disruption, we listen to your concerns, adjust and plan accordingly. We don’t want you to feel bad because the limits are there. That’s distinctively different.
We make commitments and keep them.
We do what we say we’ll do, for the amount we say we’ll do it for. That’s distinctively different.
We respect you.
We respect you, your family and your home. While working in your personal space, safety is number one. Not only for our crew, so they can go home to their families at night, but for you as well. Our employees are trained in First Aid/CPR, drug tested and background checked for legal residency. We arrive on time, clean up our work spaces daily and strive for minimum impact on your life during the process. That’s distinctively different.
We welcome your questions.
We want you to enjoy the remodeling experience and be comfortable throughout the process. We understand that you might know little or nothing about home remodeling. We want you to ask questions. Our job is to supply the information. That’s distinctively different.
Our clients tell us that our team becomes a part of their family and actually hate to see us go.
That’s Distinctively Different.

Every spring, the community looks forward to our annual free recycling event, which helps keep our environment clean and protects our resources. Just A Few Of Our Raving Reviews
Our kitchen project with Westhill is wrapping up and we wanted to take the time to send some feedback regarding our experience. Like all remodels it had its ups and downs but what made the experience positive was the personal interactions we had with both Chris and Mike.
Chris was the ultimate professional at all times- both good and bad. He always made himself available to us to answer questions and help us create solutions. He was able to handle our concerns and frustrations without getting defensive and always drove all parties to an agreeable outcome. He stayed focused on the project and worked hard to get us the kitchen we wanted. One of the most notable examples was the sill lights. It was extremely important to Dave that we not drill into the beautiful new granite but code required outlets every x feet. While everyone else- designer, budget manager, electrician gave up and told us to decide between drilling into the cabinets or granite- Chris stayed on it. He came up with a solution, challenged everyone to make it work and got us exactly what we wanted and met code. He was wonderful to work with and we truly appreciated his professionalism and enjoyed our interactions with him.
Mike was our lead carpenter and did an amazing job both from in regards to quality of work and integrating into our home for the 3 month duration of the project. It is truly remarkable to find someone that you not only trust but welcome into your home on daily basis that is not family. He interacted in thoughtful and kind way with us, our boys and the dog. We never felt like there was a risk to our home or discomfort at having subs and crew in our home with Mike at the helm. His positive can-do attitude made us feel like he would always champion the cause from our perspective every time and even beyond that served as a real life role model to our boys about how to interact with people and solve problems.
He listened closely to what matter to us and made sure that he and all the subs paid close attention critical details- not letting the window installation drill holes into the granite, getting the granite suppliers to create the one piece through the LA cantina window, working with electrical to make sure light switches were set up the way we needed, adjusting the location of the peninsula when we expressed concerns, install the heat vents so they blended with the cabinets. These are just a few of the examples.
He went out of his way to make the construction zone livable and the experience pleasant with little details like rigging a temporary door so we could access the back yard and giving us additional light but rigging a hinge on the boarded up window ( quite key as the schedule for windows and doors slide by 4 weeks. It was not an issue for us due to his solution). He cleaned up every day and in general treat our home with the respect he would his own.
Both Mike and Chris are quality individuals that we enjoyed having work on our home. Erica & Dave, Redmond
I loved the way Westhill treated us. They knew that we had small children that would be affected during the renovation. Therefore they made sure to get the job done as quickly as possible. Westhill also made sure to keep us up to date with everything that was going on with our project as well as making sure that every subcontractor that come to our house treated us and our house with respect. LW, Kirkland
Thank you and the great team at Westhill for your hard work over the past few months. I am so glad that I chose Westhill to remodel my bathrooms….I don’t think I could have chosen a better contractor for the job. I also want it to be known that I think Wayne is the best of the best. There is nothing he cannot or will not do. He was always willing to go the extra mile and was always pleasant to have in my home. Thank you again for everything! I love my 2 new bathrooms and can’t wait to start using them soon! Take care, Erika C., Bellevue
P.S. It’s also a relief to know that if I ever have another project that I know just who to call for help.
Appreciate your patience with this project. Looks great. Thanks also for assigning Tristan to the job, (he is a good guy and very skilled), as well as serving as liaison with the sales guys. Would not hesitate to use Westhill again. Bill B., Woodinville
I don’t know how much you hear this stuff – and perhaps we are a bit unique (wouldn’t be the first time I heard that -ha) but I think about you guys often throughout the years. I guess it was a pretty significant experience for us at an impactful time of our lives and you all made it a very personal one. I will always hold you and your team in the highest regards and feel blessed that our paths crossed so many years ago. It is pretty cool that every day you get the opportunity to change people’s lives and develop lasting bonds. Well you also get the chance to cut people’s water lines and flood their houses – ha-ha. All part of the balance of life. Anyway, waxing nostalgic… Good to hear from you and I look forward to seeing you soon. B.K., Kirkland
Last week Ben and I took the week off of work to build the deck… well – most of the deck. This also gave us the opportunity to watch your team (Wayne, Mike, Thor, & Brian) in action and get to know them a bit better. Kudos to you for hiring such hard working, entertaining, smart, reliable, and all around good guys. I know that Mike and Thor are relatively new to your team… Mike did a fantastic job leading the team in Wayne’s absence (Wayne was everywhere last week). That’s all… just kudos. Jen, Ben & Aida, Redmond
I have been meaning to call you and rave about Dave. As you know he took my late night call and dropped everything to rescue my flooding crawl space. He and Tristan arrived about 11:00 pm strapped on their headlamps and braved the hurricane conditions down on the beach with shovels solving the mystery. Dave made me feel like he was happy to be there. I really appreciate their help and am so happy they figured it out before the furnace was ruined by water. Best, Laurie P., Seattle
I just wanted to say how happy we are with the quality of the work and the responsiveness of you all. We will definitely recommend Westhill to anyone we know who might be in the market for a remodel. Cheers. Daryn D., Woodinville
